On Monday, May 8, the Olin College community gathered on the Oval to attend "Art in the Oval" - an afternoon of sharing and celebrating art and music.

The Jam Room Re-Opens!

On March 10, there was a special black tie / formal-wear event in the Campus Center for the Jam Room Grand Re-Opening. The Jam Room is a space on campus designated for students to hang out in, play games and jam out.

The ribbon cutting ceremony showcased WORD and OOF, games of pool and catering from Rebecca's Cafe.

Olin Craft and Goods Fair Pop-Up

In May, a group of crafty students organized an Olin Craft and Goods Fair Pop Up, with the Oliners spreading some serious joy by selling and sharing their hobbies, passions, and crafts with the community.

Olin Ultimate Frisbee Hosts High-Flying Tournament

Olin's very own Ultimate Frisbee team hosted an Ultimate tournament on the soccer fields below the Great Lawn on May 7.

Dino Day!

On March 29, Olin SLAC sponsored a 'Dino Day' event, with 25 lbs of dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets, stickers and temporary tattoos for attendees.

Springtime Fun + Games

On an unusually warm spring day this April, students broke out the slip 'n slide, volleyball and beach blankets to take full advantage of the sun and good time with friends on the Great Lawn.

On November 12, before the winter cold arrived, students took some time out from homework and projects to unwind with friendly volleyball games on the Great Lawn.

Tell the Story of What You Make

Mari '23 and HK '23 were pictured selling custom-made stickers in the Campus Center in the beginning of May. Mari made the Olin-specific stickers as part of a final project for the course, Tell the Story of What You Make (ENGR3240).

In November, the Class of 2025 held a sophomore class-bonding event outside the dorms, complete with a soap-filled slip 'n slide!

OFAC April Fools

The Olin Fire Arts Club (OFAC) held a special April Fools Day performance for the entire campus on April 1.

The performance consisted of a series of “pranks” and “interesting” choices. unique props were brought out for burning, including a whip and a spoon – yes a literal spoon with a ball of fire!

Holi 2023 Celebration

On April 22, the Olin Indian Club and Office of IDEA sponsored a Holi Celebration on Olin’s campus. There was plenty of colors, water, music and lots of fun + friends!

Student Teams Present at SCOPE Summit 2023!

On May 10, thirteen teams of amazing students presented the results of their year-long projects with sponsors from industry, academia, a government agency, and a private foundation.

The Oliners presented in 8-10 minute lightning talk presentations in the Norden Auditorium and also via an interactive poster session and reception under the tent in the Oval.
